M. to midnight The Polo Museale Sapienza (PMS) reopens the doors of its museums again this year, returning to participate in the prestigious event of international importance European Museum Night 2025,scheduled for Saturday, May 17,2025.With the Maggio Museale event, the Sapienza Museums will welcome visitors starting at 3: 00 p. M, offering families, children and the general public the opportunity to discover and admire their collections completely free of charge and to take part in fun and engaging educational play workshops and guided tours. This preview of the activities of the Sapienza Museums then flows into the program of the Night of the Museums 2025,starting at 8: 00 pm with the concert of the Salt Street Band on the terrace of the Rectorate and will continue until midnight with a wide range of exhibitions, events, thematic guided tours and numerous workshops together with other cultural promotion initiatives. This extraordinary event marks the eighth edition of the Maggio Museale of the PMS and represents a unique opportunity to experience the university space in an alternative way, giving the possibility to a large and varied audience to take part in a moment of discovery, fun and meeting from the early hours of the afternoon until late at night. The added value of this unmissable artistic and cultural event is the ease of access to the spaces of the Polo, thanks to the completely free provision of the internal parking of the university campus and the opening of two entrances, the first located in P. Le Aldo Moro 5 and the second in Viale dell'Università 38.Furthermore, the proximity of the numerous museums allows you to quickly reach and visit without effort a wide range of structures and collections. THE SAPIENZA MUSEUM CENTRE The Sapienza Museum Centre, under the presidency of Fabio Attorre and directed by Claudia Carlucci, represents one of the most important cultural and scientific institutions within the Capital and the University of Rome. It includes 19 university museums, 7 of which outside Sapienza divided between Rome and Latina, each bearer of its own specificity and cultural identity. These are museums of historical interest, dedicated to the conservation, protection and enhancement of a huge heritage, but also to active research, teaching and dissemination. The numerous collections represent an authentic treasure without equal and of inestimable value, offering a wide range of sciences, technologies, archaeological finds and works of art that reflect the complexity and richness of Roman history and beyond. The diversity and importance of the collections present within the POM place it among the most prestigious cultural institutions in Rome, contributing significantly to the knowledge and enhancement of the historical and scientific heritage. The museums that coordinate the museum complex are: the Museum of Comparative Anatomy, the Museum of Pathological Anatomy, the Museum of Anthropology, the Museum of Etruscan and Italic Antiquities, the Museum of Classical Art, the Museum of the History of Medicine, the Museum of Geography, the Museum of Earth Sciences, the Herbarium Museum, the Botanical Garden Museum, the Museum of Zoology, the Museum of Art and Mineral Deposits, the Museum of Chemistry, the Museum of Physics, the Museum of Hydraulics, the Museum of Commodities, the Laboratory Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of the Near East, Egypt and the Mediterranean, the Museum of Origins.
