29th SÜDTIROL DREI ZINNEN ALPINE RUN

The Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run is set to take place for the 29th time on 12 September, cementing its place as one of the most iconic events on the international mountain running calendar. Set in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the South Tyrolean race will once again feature a technical and spectacular 17.9-kilometre course with 1,354 metres of elevation gain, running from Haus Sexten/Sesto to the Locatelli Hut, against the backdrop of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. The Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run is set to take place for the 29th time on 12 September, cementing its place as one of the most iconic events on the international mountain running calendar. Organised by ALV Sextner Dolomiten, the event attracts athletes and enthusiasts from all over the world every year thanks to a route that combines competitive intensity with unique landscapes. After the first few easy kilometres along the Val Fiscalina, the race really gets going with the climbs towards the Comici Hut, Pian di Cengia and Forcella Pian di Cengia, up to the finish line at an altitude of 2,405 metres. The Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run boasts a prestigious history, built on the victories of great mountain runners such as Jonathan Wyatt, Petro Mamu, Anna Pichrtova and Sara Bottarelli, the undisputed star of recent editions. In 2026,the event will again maintain a maximum limit of 1,000 participants, in full respect of the Alpine environment hosting the competition. The Mini Drei Zinnen Alpine Run, dedicated to the Under-18 age group, has also been confirmed. Combining physical exertion, technical skill and extraordinary views, the Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run continues to represent one of the most fascinating experiences in European trail running.
