Festival "Musica Altra Mystica" II Ed. 2024

Locality: Crema (Cremona) Region: Lombardy
from: 27 April 2024
from: 30 April 2024

The cultural association and music school Consorzio Concorde in Via Cappuccini 30 in Crema, with the patronage of the Municipality of Crema and the support of the Associazione Popolare per il Territorio, proposes the second edition of the "Musica Altra" FESTIVAL 2024.The event was born from the idea of its artistic director Sabrina Sparti, who, with the aim of creating a context in Crema that would welcome experimental music concerts, organized the first edition last year which was a great success among the public, attracting curious and fans of the genre. In this second edition, which has the eloquent and evocative title of "Mystica", three events will be proposed that will accompany the spectator on a journey to discover the magical secrets of the Mystical Basket of Persephone, the alchemical Goddess and bringer of spiritual transformation. This year the Festival will dare even more, proposing an itinerary to discover free sounds for free thoughts and shamanic sounds for sound rites. The appointments will take place in various locations in the center of Crema. The first appointment will take place in Sala Costi in Piazza Aldo Moro 3,Saturday 27 April at 9pm and will feature d-saFE, (Lorenzo Pierobon on vocals and Marco Pancaldi on guitar), two artists from Monza with a long and prestigious curriculum who have collaborated for years exploring musical experiences outside the common canons. They will present the concert "mINIMosTIMOLo Concert of Contemporary Sacred Music" They provocatively define themselves as a non-group that plays non-music for non-listeners. They will invite you to experience their sound ritual with influences of ethnic and sacred music, electronic soundtracks and experimental rock. The spectator will be involved in a shamanic experience with unusual guitars, vocal suggestions, electronic experiments, enraptured by a soundtrack without images, a mixture that escapes easy description, a journey to the edge of silence. The second appointment will have the performance venue in the San Benedetto Church in Piazza Garibaldi and will take place on Sunday 19/5 at 9pm. The saxophonist Dimitri Grechi Espinoza, known internationally for his musical research in the ethnic context, proposes his latest project entitled "OREB, The Healing Sax" for solo saxophone and natural reverb on which he has worked for many years based on the fundamental knowledge that traditional cultures transmit about the spiritual meaning of sound and its correct therapeutic use. The artist invites the spectator to experience the internal resonance and to become aware of the sound quality that constitutes the profound essence of every being, through a "march" that travels through the five senses up to the "mind" and then returns to the "heart", center of the multiplicity of states of the human being. The third and final event will take place in the magnificent garden of Villa Zurla De Poli in Via Tadini 2 and will take place on Thursday 30 May at 9pm (in case of bad weather the event will be moved to Saturday 1 June at 9pm). The numerous multi-instrumentalists belonging to the "Contemporary Project" group will perform (Lionello Lello Colombo - tenor sax, duduk, shawm, soapstone; Fausto Tagliabue – trumpet, flugelhorn, percussion; Luca Pedeferri – piano, accordion; Pier Panzeri – guitar; Enrico Fagnoni – bass, double bass; Mauro Gnecchi - symphonic timpano, percussion, drums). The Contemporary Project was born in 2013 and since then it has moved on the thin border between contemporary music and improvisation, jazz and rock, fusing the stimuli coming from the different musical paths of each member in a changing balance. They will present their latest album "A70M1" "A journey around, inside, outside, near and far to "Atom Heart Mother" as it was performed by Pink Floyd in Brescia in 1971; an inspired, sentimental, but also iconoclastic journey. You shouldn't expect a cover or a reworking, but a psychedelic sound journey made of improvisation, inspired by the freedom that characterized that concert, a sound world light years away from subsequent standardization. We invite you to discover the proposals of this edition and live the particular immersive sound experiences it brings together. Entrance is free and free, reservations are recommended via cell phone. 347 487 8945 (also with WhatsApp message) or by writing to info@consorzioconcorde. It.
