The 3rd edition of the Italian Gravel Championship is at home in Golferenzo. Nine municipalities team up and on 30 June the Oltrepò Pavese will be tinged with the Italian flag. 42 km of circuit to be repeated among dirt, gravel and asphalt roads. The Italian Gravel Championship is being prepared in the welcoming area among the hills and vineyards of the Oltrepò Pavese, for an end of June that will undoubtedly be unforgettable for lovers of two wheels and not only. The big appointment for all cyclists, from the elite to amateurs, with the Italian Gravel Championship in Golferenzo, a charming village perched atop a hill that is part of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy', is set for Sunday 30 June. The Oltrepò Pavese Italian Championship is the brainchild of former road pro Emanuele Bombini, a DOC Pavese like the many famous wines cultivated in the lands crossed by the race, but above all wanted and supported by the union of nine municipalities affected by the 42 km of the ring (with about 600 metres of elevation gain per lap) but also by the municipality of Cigognola with an unusual Gravel mayor, Gianluca Orioli. The weekend in symbiosis with the Italian Championships in Golferenzo will be a long one that will open on Saturday 29 June with the "Oltre Gravel", a cycling event open to everyone that will follow the same route as the Italian Championships and that for the occasion will be practicable not only with gravel vehicles, but with any bicycle, including road, MTB, cyclocross, etc. Unmissable is the presence of the 'Oltre Village' with a rich expo area that will serve as a perfect place of exchange for cyclists, promotion for sponsors, and reception for enthusiasts and the curious. The presence of cyclist and tightrope walker as well as Striscia la Notizia correspondent Vittorio Brumotti is also confirmed, to give the event a more important tone. The Oltrepò Pavese, with its rolling hills dotted with white roads and paths, is preparing to host the mass of cyclists or rather 'gravellisti' who will compete for the title of champion and national champion. That of 29 and 30 June will be a weekend truly full of emotions and Emanuele Bombini, at the head of the Comitato Eventi Sportivi Oltrepò and the Il Branco Cycling School, is more than ready to experience them in the company of the great champions of two wheels, and many are indeed announced, including former teammates and rivals of yesteryear.
