The XIV edition of the Classical and Jazz International Festival has been officially presented, promising to turn Palermo’s summer into an unmissable event for all music enthusiasts. The event, organized by Palermo Classica and curated under the artistic direction of Girolamo Salerno, offers a rich calendar of 42 concert events and the participation of over 90 internationally renowned artists. Among the most anticipated moments of this edition is the concert on August 28,2024,at 9: 00 PM at Palazzo Branciforte in Palermo. The prestigious Bachstring Orchestra, conducted by maestro Michele La Cagnina, will perform with violinist and singer Salvatore Petrotto, paying tribute to Frank Sinatra and Ennio Morricone. Petrotto, a professor at the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra in Palermo, is a versatile artist with a career marked by prestigious collaborations and notable performances on Rai, MTV, the Monreale Cathedral, and for various national and local institutions. As the founder of BachString, he has also released eight singles on major international platforms. The evening of August 28 will be further enriched by performances from pianist Gioacchino Zimmardi and guitarists Antonio Di Rosalia and Ignazio Terrasi, offering the audience a musical journey spanning classical and modern notes.
