After celebrating the prestigious milestone of its 50th edition in 2026,the 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon is set to take center stage again on January 9 and 10,2027,with an event that is one of the most anticipated highlights of the Italian cross-country skiing calendar. This iconic South Tyrolean competition seamlessly blends tradition, competitive spirit, and the spectacular scenery of the Dolomites and the Three Peaks. The weekend will kick off on Saturday, January 9,with the Classic Race, which is the historic heart of the event, featuring 60-km and 30-km courses in the classic style. The start in the beautiful Val Fiscalina in Sesto will take competitors through some of the most picturesque parts of the course, passing through San Candido and Dobbiaco, the Nordic Arena, and the extraordinary panorama of the Three Peaks—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—before the finish in Villabassa. Sunday, January 10,will feature the Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge, a freestyle race up to 2,031 meters at Prato Piazza, in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, which is one of the most spectacular and demanding challenges in cross-country skiing. For those who want to experience the races in a more relaxed spirit, the “Just For Fun” option will also be available, designed for enthusiasts who wish to participate without official rankings or the pressure of the stopwatch. The 3 Zinnen Mini Ski-Marathon will also take place, an event dedicated to young cross-country skiers on the trails of the Nordic Arena. The organizing staff is already hard at work preparing the 51st edition to live up to the event’s long history, ready to welcome participants from all over Europe. This race continues to represent one of the most authentic challenges in South Tyrolean cross-country skiing.
