XCO - E-MTB Italian Championships

It promises to be a fiery July for Italian fat wheels, which will experience one of the most important moments of the season in Pergine with the awarding of the national title for the XCO and E-MTB mountain bike disciplines. In fact, from 19 to 21 July, in the splendid setting of Pergine Valsugana, in Trentino, the MTB Absolute Italian Championships for cross country and pedal-assisted vehicles will be staged, involving the UCI and Master categories. It will begin on Friday 19 with the E-MTB test, then continue on Saturday 20 with the XCO test, and conclude on Sunday 21 with the Masters. The 3-day event in Valsugana will be crucial, to say the least, for the Italian athletes also because it will precede the big appointment with the Paris 2024 Olympics. Just one week after the tricolour challenges in Pergine, in fact, the athletes who will have earned qualification for the Games will fly directly to the French capital. Before arriving at La Colline d'Élancourt, the race venue for the Five Circles MTB trials, however, they will have to compete in the Parco Tre Castagni Bike Park, a scenic setting where the organising committee of the MTB Oltrefersina led by Paolo Alverà is already at work to prepare a weekend that will go down in the annals. "We are working on the creation of side events that will enrich the pure sporting event and make it even more special, " says Alverà, who adds: "the location of the Parco Tre Castagni is perfectly suited to a major event of this level. In our Bike Park we have numerous possibilities to change the track and make it different each time. All the athletes who pass through here in fact take with them the memory of the effort, but above all the beauty of the track, as well as the spectacular nature of the area'. The Polisportiva Oltrefersina at work for this Italian Championship, which has many surprises in store.
