54th MARCIALONGA OF FIEMME AND FASSA

Marcialonga never stops! Nestled between the Fiemme and Fassa Valleys, the organizing committee of this renowned Trentino brand has long been hard at work preparing for the 54th edition of the Marcialonga, which will take place on January 31,2027.Launched in 1971,the event quickly established itself as one of the major international long-distance cross-country skiing competitions, becoming Italy’s best-known long-distance race and one of the most prestigious in the world. This recognition is further solidified by its longstanding presence on the Ski Classics calendar. In addition to the classic 70-km course—the beating heart and symbol of the event—and the 45-km “Light” version, this year Marcialonga is expanding its already rich lineup with a new offering: the 32-km “Just for Fun” race. This is a non-competitive event designed for anyone who wants to experience a more accessible version of Italy’s most iconic ski marathon. There will also be no shortage of the numerous and engaging side events that enrich the program starting on Friday, from the evocative “Marcialonga Story” to “Marcialonga Baby, ” “Mini, ” and “Young”—dedicated to the youngest participants—and the “Marcialonga Stars” charity initiative. Marcialonga once again demonstrates its unique ability to continue evolving while keeping its values and history intact—all in the spirit of inclusion, sharing, and wholesome fun. All of this takes place against the stunning backdrop of the Fiemme and Fassa Valleys, whose residents are always ready to support and cheer on the Marcialonga participants, from the most seasoned athletes to the novice “bisonti. ”
